Robalo R222 center console. Tons of high end custom upgrades. Detailed Regularly. Maintained meticulously. 1575 hours on the motor with no mechanical issues. Only needed to replaced the trim tilt a few years ago.
I customized this boat to fish hard. It still has all its family qualities, but I had to add much more fishability. I use it to deep drop for swordfish, high speed for wahoo, and even fish for general reef fish. All the upgrades are to make this the fishiest Robalo in the Keys. Complete rewire of entire boat was done by me. (I have been an aviation electrician for 17 years experience wiring military aircraft.) All the wiring is upgraded in quality and gauge. Added plenty of lighting on the boat as that was something Robalo lacked from the factory.
Completely redid the audio system. The Clarion system that came with the boat was not up to my standards. The new JL system is no short of insane. It could be considered overkill, but that is needed when you want to listen to music while you run out to the sword grounds.
Overall this boat is a great family boat, and even better fishing boat. It is nothing like the other Robalos you see on here. It is truly one of a kind.
"Parlaying the game-changing success of the R180 and the R200, Robalo takes its center console offerings up a notch with the R222. The keyword here is more. More centerline length. More storage space. More ride comfort. More seaworthiness. More fishing features. The only place where the R222 proudly comes up short is its No Haggle, Reel Deal price tag. Key fishing features include twin 30-gallon fish boxes that can either keep your catch fresh or serve as storage areas. A 15-gallon livewell with LED lighting and a blue gelcoat finish is conveniently positioned under the standard leaning post."
