Hatteras introduced the 34 Sports Cruiser in 1961. The very capable and versatile cruiser boasted space, seaworthiness, and performance delivering speeds of almost 40 MPH powered with twin 280 HP Chrysler 383 V8's. Reported displacement from Hatteras at 12,000 lbs dry with her semi displacement hull makes the 34 Sports Cruiser not only exhilarating to operate, but the envy of the fleet capable of seas her competition could only imagine. Built with a solid fiberglass hull Hatteras chose to not use any wood in the construction of their hulls. The superstructure is all solid fiberglass bonded with no wooden core material.
