I HAVE OWNED THIS 1986 BERTRAM 46.6' MK III SPORTFISH YACHT FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS AND PURCHASED THE YACHT FROM A FRIEND WHO HAS OWNED IT SINCE 2006 SO I AM VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE YACHTS HISTORY & OPERATION. WE HAVE FISHED THIS YACHT IN SOME OF THE LARGEST PAYOUT BILLFISH TOURNAMENTS ALONG THE TEXAS COAST THE PAST 10 YEARS. THE YACHT HAS BEEN USED PERSONALLY FISHING BILLFISH TOURNAMENTS IN AND AROUND TEXAS COAST. I HAVE ONLY USED THE YACHT FOR PERSONAL USE ALTHOUGH THE YACHT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR CHARTER! THIS YACHT IS DEPENDABLE, MECHANICALLY SOUND WITH LOW HOURS ON STRONG 650 HP 892ti (TWIN TURBO) DETROIT DIESELS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP A YACHT THIS SIZE MOVING & OPERATING CONSISTANTLY & OFFSETTING THE YACHTS COSTS & MAINTENANCE WITH A POTENTIAL TO EARN AN INCOME WITH CHARTERING MAKES THIS AN INVITING OPTION. YACHT IS 46.6’ LONG & 16‘-WIDE WITH A FULL FUNCTIONAL EXTRA TALL TUNA TOWER (SAME SIZE WELDED ALUMINUM TOWER AS THE 54’ BERTRAM), CUSTOM MADE TEAK RYOBIVICH FIGHTING CHAIR, RYOBIVICH CAPTAIN & FIRST MATE CHAIRS AS WELL.  3 BEDROOMS, 2 FULL BATHS, 4 HEAT PUMP HVAC SYSTEMS, 12 KW ONAN DIESEL 4 CYLINDER GENERATOR WITH PLANS TO REPLACE WITH BRAND NEW 14KW GENSET AS WE HAD ISSUES WITH ELECTRICAL WINDINGS IN EXISTING GENSET DURING LAST TOURNAMENT.

FLAT SCREEN TV IN GALLEY (YACHT IS THE PREFERRED MODEL WITH GALLEY UPSTAIRS UNLIKE 90% OF THESE YACHTS WITH THE GALLEY DOWNSTAIRS). BOAT HAS AUTO-PILOT, UNDERWATER LED LIGHTS, EPIRB, TONS OF OTHER EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONICS, RADAR ETC.

YACHT HOLDS AROUND 800+ GALLONS OF DIESEL.

ACCORDING TO THE LAST FULL SURVEY WITH SEA TRIAL & BOTH IN & OUT OF WATER INSPECTIONS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WHEN I UPDATED THE FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE, YACHT WAS ESTIMATED @ $1.3M WHEN NEW IN 1986. FAIR MARKET VALUE OF YACHTS CONDITION AT/PER SURVEY WAS $177,695.

THERE IS CURRENTLY SOME MAINTENANCE THAT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO SEA TRIAL. THERE WERE ALSO A FEW THINGS I ALWAYS WANTED TO ADD TO THE YACHT TO ENHANCE THE FISHING EXPERIENCE AND TO HAVE REDUNDANT SAFETY AND COMFORT SYSTEMS (LIKE TWIN FULL LOAD GENERATORS, GYRO STABILIZER) BUT FOR THE MOST PART THE BOAT IS PERFECT FOR ME WITHOUT A BUNCH OF EXTRA CRAP TO GET IN THE WAY OF FISHING! THIS IS NOT A TROPHY SHOW BOAT! IT IS A SERIOUS BUT COMFORTABLE, RELIABLE, WORKHORSE BIGWATER FISHING VESSEL!

THE ASKING PRICE FOR THE YACHT IS $59,000. “AS-IS” WITH SEA TRIAL MAINTENANCE COMPLETED INCLUDED IN PRICE. MAINTENANCE WILL INCLUDE HAUL-OUT, CLEAN/INSPECT BOTTOM OF YACHT & RUNNING GEAR & INSTALL NEW ZINCS, MAIN ENGINES TUNED & READY FOR SEA TRIAL.

BUYERS LARGE INVESTMENT RESPONSIBILITYS ONCE PURCHASED:

1) REPLACE/REPAIR EXISTING 12 KW ONAN DIESEL GENERATOR WITH NEW GENERATOR HEAD (DIESEL ENGINE FOR GENERATOR RUNS GREAT BUT GENERATION HEAD NOT PUTTING OUT VOLTAGE) COST FOR NEW/REWOUND GENERATION HEAD IS $2,500-$3,000.

1a) AN OPTION FOR ABOVE IS TO REPLACE EXISTING GENERATOR & INSTALL COMPLETELY NEW 14.5 KW-(120 VOLT/125AMP) ISUZU OR KUBOTA MARINE SELF-CONTAINED DIESEL GENERATOR WITH NEW SOUND/WATERPROOF ENCLOSURE, HEAT EXCHANGER, UNDERWATER EXHAUST, CONTROLS, EVERYTHING INCLUDED, FOR $9,000 PLUS EASY INSTALL. OR MY PLAN WHICH WAS TO HAVE BOTH GENERATORS SO YOU HAVE A REDUNDANT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WHILE OUT AT SEA AT A TOTAL COST OF AROUND $13k TO $14k.

2) YACHT IS DUE FOR NEW BOTTOM PAINT JOB.

YACHT IS PAID FOR IN FULL & I HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS TO PROVE OWNERSHIP. YACHT IS DOCUMENTED THROUGH THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD.

 

 BOTH 8V92TI TWIN TURBO DIESEL MAIN ENGINES HAD FULL (OUT OF BOAT) MAJOR OVERHAULS @3300 TOTAL HOURS. ENGINES NOW HAVE APPROXIMATELY 600 HOURS ON THEM SINCE MOH AND RAN FLAWLESSLY LAST TIME VESSEL WAS USED WITH HEAT EXCHANGERS COMPLETELY OVERHAULED LESS THAN 100 HOURS AGO AT SAME TIME ALL MAINTENANCE WAS PERFORMED AND SETTINGS/GAPS ETC WERE CHECKED! I WOULD CONSIDER PARTIAL TRADE OR FULL TRADE OF EQUAL VALUE FOR OTHER BOATS THAT DO NOT NEED ANY WORK AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION LIKE LARGE CENTER CONSOLE OFFSHORE OR BAY BOAT, BASS BOAT, DIESEL PUSHER RV. MAY ALSO CONSIDER EXOTIC CARS OR ANYTHING ELSE INTERESTING IN PARTIAL/FULL TRADE.

NO BOAT BROKERS AT THIS TIME PLEASE, I DO NOT NEED HELP SELLING YACHT AT THIS TIME.

YACHT IS CURRENTLY IN PROTECTIVE COVE 15 MILES FROM PORT ARANSAS TEXAS.
