Description

Navigation Systems

I'm only uploading a few pics right now - just what I happen to have on my phone.  The boat hasn't been staged or anything so if they don't look "amazing" that's why.  We're going to boat July 4th weekend and will get a lot of great photos + video.

The pic with the cover is before we had the radar tower installed.  It's just to show the full boat cover and trailer.

Galley Equipment

1.        Brand new, first time ever, bottom paint applied by Marina Shipyard in Long Beach.  If you know Long Beach, you know they are a premier preference by locals.  Rough up and total top of the line service = $4,695 Completed July, 2021.  Boat wasn't put back in the water until Dec, 2021.

2.       Completed by M & M Marine, also a premier preference by locals in Long Beach, total engine and transom refit/overhaul (brand new condition), extensive list of parts replaced with top of the line items.  Total  to M & M Marine $29,865.  Along with the total repower, this also includes the installation of the below:

a.       FRESH WATER COOLING SYSTEM

b.       RADAR TOWER

c.       RADAR AND TRANSDUCER WITH SONAR

d.       GATOR STEP FLOORING (is an authorized dealer)

Deck and Hull Equipment

Boat also has A/C.  The helm rocker switches have been replaced and they light up (it’s cool!).  Vinyl is in excellent condition.  Isinglass is in excellent condition – very clear.  It has had limited use and it’s professionally cleaned twice a month.  We have full isinglass, not all of it is put up in the pics.  Bimini is upgraded to go the full length of the cockpit. We have two Magma kayak holders as well as two fender holders. Also a new Magma circular grill with cover and holder. Lot's of rope and life vests.    We have the boat set-up for just a couple to enjoy.  We removed the table in the cabin so there was more room and also the mattress for the 2nd berth.  We have the table and it can be easily reinstalled.  We don’t have the mattress for the 2nd berth but if you wanted to use that area for sleeping, an air mattress would fit perfectly.  We use it for storage.  Microwave and TV, included, of course.  Since our boat has been at Shoreline Marina, we have it bottom scraped twice a month as well as detailed on the outside twice a month.  We also have the head professionally flushed once a month (and I never allow # 2 – just saying!!).  The inside condition is great.  No smells, stains, etc.  The only thing we didn’t get done on our long list of things we did get done, was to replace the interior flooring.  In my opinion, that’s the only thing that would need attention for you to enjoy a truly luxurious 2655 that sips the fuels and has more options than many larger, more expensive boats.

We live in Las Vegas and come to Long Beach on the weekends only,  so showing is by appointment only.  Please call me to ask questions or make an appointment.  We welcome surveys if you want to get one.  Our boat is pristine!!

Accommodations

This Bayliner 2655 has more options than you’ve ever dreamed of!  This is long but worth the read!!

This used to be a 20 year old boat.  And like most 20 year old boats, there were things wearing and needing to be replaced.  NOW ! It's like a 1 or 2 year old boat as almost everything has been replaced. I have all the detailed receipts to document all the work that's been done.  Just within the past 6 months, we’ve added more high end options to our 2655 than you can imagine.  Options you would enjoy on a much bigger, more expensive boat BUT, with our boat, you'll enjoy 2.4 miles to the gallon! All the luxury with a fraction of the cost to hop on over to Catalina!  While others see dollar bills flying out of the engines of their large boats, you’ll only see quarters floating out of this gas sipping beauty.  We spared no expense as our goal was to enjoy many crossings to Catalina and San Diego from our beautiful Shoreline Marina slip.  Alas, work and life got in the way and we’re not able to enjoy her as we wanted.  But you can!  This boat is decked out to go for many, many more years.  Originally, we used her only in fresh water in Lake Mead, Nevada.  Than Lake Mead dried up and we turned to the ocean.  Loved it!  But before we dropped her in salt water, we did a complete repower and added FRESH WATER COOLING! That’s just the start of the over $45,000 put in to our 2655 in the past 6 months (all receipts available upon request).  Since she’s been back in the water, we’ve only been able to get to Catalina once.  We’ve put less than 10 hours on her new engine and she only has 340 hours total.  Here’s a list of her options:

(they're a little jumbled in order due to how BoatTrader picked up my columns - but all the info is there)

Mechanical Equipment

3.       Radar Arch purchased from Atlantic Towers -$2,099 (professionally installed Dec 2021)

4.       Raymarine Axion+ 9 Rv – 9” Chartplotter/fishfinder W/Rv-100 T/M Transducer purchased from Hodges Marine.  Upgraded IPS display delivers charts, sonar, radar and video in stunning color.  Displays wider viewing angles.  Night marine thermal cameras.  CHIRP radar.  Built in Wi-Fi. Flush mounted.  $1,630 (professionally installed Dec 2021)

5.       Raymarine Quantum Q24w Radome W/Wi-Fi purchased from Hodges Marine.  Features CHIRP pulse compression technology.  Superior radar imaging displays targets like boats, landmarks, rocks, buoys, etc.  $1,600. (professionally installed Dec 2021)

6.       Gator Step Flooring – top of the line decking professionally installed.  www.gatorstep.com  ($3,160 – is included in total to M & M Marine, Dec 2021).

7. Bow thruster w/ remote control.  State of the art design from Side Shift - $3,995.  If you’ve ever docked with a single engine boat you know that a bow thruster is the ultimate luxury  item.  You will NEVER have docking anxiety again.  Wind, no problem!  Tight space, no problem!  By yourself, no problem!  This Bow thruster makes it easy.  The bow thruster itself wasn’t too expensive - $3995;  but the professional installation was pretty pricey.  And well worth it! Installed Dec, 2021

8.      Underwater lights – Lumitec SeaBlaze X2, Spectrum RGBW x 2.  $997.  Delivers a nearly limitless palette of intense, vivid colors with more than 6,000 integrating-sphere-measured lumens.  Professionally flush mounted at the stern and turn on with the flip of a switch.  Great if you’re boating at night or just docked and want to look at what’s swimming under you.  These lights would be great on a much bigger boat and they’re super great on our 2655! Installed Dec 2021

9.      If you’ve been looking at 2655’s, you know that the helm seat leads something to be desired.  I mean, it’s ok but….  We upgraded.  We had the existing captain’s chair removed and added a top of the line, Larson (fits our Bayliner just great) Captains Helm Seat.  It has a reclining back, arms that can be moved up  and a bolster. $559 purchased from Great Lakes Skipper.  We have it in blue and white.  Looks great.  And that’s not all!  We had it professionally installed on a heavy duty rotating and sliding base.  So you can slide the seat from side to side and also rotate it around!  You can completely turn the seat around, 180 degrees to join the conversation with everyone else in the cockpit!  In the comfort of your big, beautiful, captains seat. Installed Dec 2021

10.   DINGHY – brand new, Mercury 220/240 Hypalon dinghy purchased from Boat Specialists in Ventura $3071.  Hypalon is said to last upwards of 15 years while PVC will last a max of 10 years. Purchased July 2021 but didn't even inflate it until Feb, 2022

11.    OUTBOARD MOTOR – Mercury 4 MH, new outboard motor purchased from Boat Specialist  $1,580. Purchased July 2021 but didn't pull the cord until Feb, 2022

12.     DAVIT SYSTEM for dinghy and motor as well as a motor mount on rear of boat. Installed Nov, 2021

13.      COVERS for dingy, outboard motor and also for boat (when out of the water).  All new.

14.   TRAILER for boat.  Double-axle trailer with surge brakes.  This is not new but it does the job of getting the boat from point A to point B just fine.  Heavy duty axles so double-axle handles her just fine. Trailer value is $2500.

Over $45,000 in improvements made to this boat in the past 6 months - I have all the receipts!  Please read " -MORE DETAILS below for all the info.  Bow thruster, Radar, Sonar, Transducer, flush-mount color display, underwater lights, fresh water cooling system, upgraded new flooring, new Captain's chair,  davits, new dinghy with new outboard motor, new bottom paint, and repower of the engine and transmission (it's like new!) -- all within the last 6 months!  Boat covers AND a boat trailer!  Less than 340 hours overall and less than 10 hours on new engine.  WOW   Checks all the boxes!!

These pics aren't great.  They're just the ones I had on my phone for my own use.  I wanted to get this posted.  We're going to the boat over July 4th weekend and we'll take great pics and probably a video.  This boat is worth it!

PLEASE READ NARRATIVE UNDER "MORE DETAILS" BELOW.
