If you decided to sail west from Skiathos, you will fall upon the large sandy bay of Koukouranies (still in Skiathos), one of the most beautiful beach in the world, where you can moor for free. You can then choose to continue in the direction of Volos and the mainland. On the other hand, if you sail east, you will go to the islands of Skopelos surnamed "The Emerald of the Aegean", and Alonissos with its national marine park; and if you have time, to the unpopulated Kyra Panagia, the safe moors of Peristeri, and the coves of Skantzoura.
